I was thinking the same thing, but he's not exactly being a complete slouch on track...winds it up pretty well to high speeds, follows a decent line, doesn't kill himself while braking, seems to be pretty professional overall - so it'd be silly for him to not know HOW to heel-toe...maybe some kind of transmission issue with the specific car that made him have to do that?

I was assuming that to be a possibility, but actually watched another video where they were using heel-toe to rev-match down. Doesn't mean the car is to the same spec, but he is definitely going to be replacing some sychros in that transmission if he doesn't start doing something lol.
